Day 1. Arrival in Bishkek: Meeting on the Silk Road

National Park Ala Archa

  • 📍 Route: Manas Airport — Bishkek — Ala-Archa National Park

  • Program: Meeting at the airport and private transfer. Accommodation at a 4-star Hotel. After a short rest, we head to the Ala-Archa National Park for a gentle walk and initial acclimatization to the mountain air. This park, located just 40 km from the capital, offers stunning alpine scenery. In the evening, a welcome dinner in an elegant restaurant.

    • Bishkek has retained the charm of Soviet architecture and at the same time has become a modern center of Central Asia. The quick visit to Ala-Archa provides immediate immersion into the majestic Tien Shan mountains.

Day 2. The Road Through Passes to the Toktogul

Too Ashuu

  • 📍 Route: Bishkek — Too-Ashuu Pass — Toktogul Reservoir

  • Program: We begin the majestic North-South road crossing. We will ascend the Too-Ashuu Pass (3300m), offering stunning, postcard-worthy panoramas. After crossing the high-mountain Suusamyr Valley (nomadic pasture), we descend to the Toktogul Reservoir.

    • Toktogul is the largest reservoir in Central Asia. Its waters reflect the snowy peaks of the Tien Shan at sunset, earning it the nickname "Kyrgyz Sea." The water in September is still warm enough for swimming!

  • 🏨 Accommodation: Hotel on the reservoir shore.

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (lunch box), Dinner.

Day 3. The Emerald Bowl of Sary-Chelek

  • 📍 Route: Toktogul — Naryn River Gorge — Sary-Chelek Reserve

  • Program: The path to the reserve goes along a scenic road next to the turquoise Naryn River. Our destination is Lake Sary-Chelek (1940m), a UNESCO biosphere reserve site.

    • The lake was formed about 10,000 years ago after a powerful mountain collapse. Its color changes from vibrant emerald to deep blue depending on the weather, and it is surrounded by 157 species of birds and relict walnut forests.

  • 🏨 Accommodation: Authentic guesthouse in the mountainous area.

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic), Dinner.

Day 4. The Relict Secrets of Arslanbob

  • 📍 Route: Sary-Chelek — Arslanbob

  • Program: Transfer to the unique tract of Arslanbob. We will take a walk under the shade of thousand-year-old trees and see the Large and Small Waterfalls.

    • This area hosts the world's largest natural walnut forest (about 60,000 hectares). Legend has it that Alexander the Great brought walnuts from here, which later became known as "walnuts."

  • 🏨 Accommodation: Comfortable guesthouse in Arslanbob.

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 5. Arrival in Osh and the Sacred Mountain

 

  • 📍 Route: Arslanbob — Osh

  • Program: We complete the transfer from the forested mountains to the vibrant city of Osh. After checking into the hotel, we will take an excursion: visiting the colorful Eastern Bazaar, which has operated almost continuously for over 2000 years. We will ascend the sacred Sulaiman-Too Mountain (a UNESCO site).

    • Osh is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia (over 3000 years). Sulaiman-Too Mountain is the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kyrgyzstan and a place of pilgrimage.

  • 🏨 Accommodation: Hotel in Osh.

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast.

Day 6. Hidden Wonders of Alay: Murdash Canyons and a Night on the Pass

  • 📍 Route: Osh — Murdash Gorge — Taldyk Pass (3615m)

  • Program: After breakfast, we leave shady Osh to discover one of the most underrated and fantastic places in the region — the Murdash Gorge. This place is striking in its geology: the road winds between majestic rocks that seem to hang over you, squeezing the gorge into a narrow stone corridor. We will take a trekking trip to a high-altitude jailoo (summer pasture). Here, amidst the silence and pure air, we will enjoy varied views. In the late afternoon, we will ascend the famous Taldyk Pass (3615m).

    • An overnight stay at this altitude is a chance to see arguably the brightest starry sky in your life and wake up to a view of the Alay Valley.

  • 🏨 Accommodation: High-altitude guesthouse on Taldyk Pass (authentic mountain living).

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic in Murdash), Dinner at the guesthouse.

Day 7. Touching the Seven-Thousander and the Emerald Lake

  • 📍 Route: Taldyk Pass — Sary-Tash — Lake Tulpar-Köl (Lenin Peak) — Lake Gejige-Köl — Osh

  • Program: The morning begins with an incredible view of the Alay Valley. We descend to the foothills of Lenin Peak (7134m). We will reach the high-altitude Lake Tulpar-Köl, whose waters reflect the giant's snowy peak on a clear day. The main activity of the day: We will take a walk to a panoramic viewpoint to see the Alpinist Base Camp. On the way back, we will stop at the emerald Lake Gejige-Köl, which is striking in its rich color and tranquility. Energized by the great mountains, we return to the warm and cozy city of Osh.

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (at the yurt camp), Dinner.

Day 8. Ancient Uzgen, Rice Mill, and Koldomo Pass Jeep Tour

  • 📍 Route: Osh — Uzgen — Koldomo Pass — Kazarman

  • Program: In the morning, we will taste the famous Osh "Khan-Samsa". We then drive to Uzgen to visit the ancient Minaret and Mausoleums (11th century), the capital of the Karakhanids. A unique stop follows: we will visit a fascinating early 20th-century rice husking mill that is still operational today, offering a rare glimpse into traditional processing methods. Then, the real adventure begins: a thrilling jeep tour through the wild Koldomo Pass (approx. 3000m).

    • This is a true off-road crossing of the Fergana Range on an old route. You will navigate steep mountain serpentines, feeling like a true explorer. Arrival at the remote village of Kazarman.

  • 🏨 Accommodation: Comfortable guesthouse in Kazarman.

  • 🍽 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic), Dinner.

 

Day 9. New North-South Road, Ak-Köl Lake, and Kök-Moynok Canyon

 

Ak kol Lake

  • 📍 Route: Kazarman — Ak-Köl Lake — Kochkor — Kök-Moynok Canyon — Bishkek

  • Program: We leave Kazarman in the morning. The route follows the new, strategically important North-South alternative road, revealing unique, previously inaccessible mountain landscapes. We will stop at the picturesque emerald Ak-Köl Lake, where you can enjoy the stunning mountain scenery. The route then passes through Kochkor village, a renowned center for felt products and souvenirs. To complete the day, before arriving in the capital, we will take a walk through the impressive Kök-Moynok Canyon, known for its fascinating rock formations.

    • The new North-South highway offers unique, contrasting views, cutting down travel time and opening access to new, untouched tourist locations.

  • 🏨 Accommodation: 4-star Hotel.
