Early Start Required: Due to the ambitious high-altitude journey today, we begin immediately after a hearty Breakfast.
South Shore Panorama and "Skazka" Canyon
Our day starts with a stop at the Shatyly Panorama (South Shore Viewpoint), offering majestic views of the lake. Next, we head to the magical Skazka Canyon (Fairy Tale Canyon). You will have 1–2 hours for light trekking among the surreal rock formations—an unmissable photo opportunity.
High Altitude Challenge: Arabel Plateau and Barskoon Gorge
Following the canyon, we embark on the most remote and demanding segment of the tour: a deep drive into the Barskoon Gorge to reach the majestic Arabel Plateau. This challenging ascent takes us to approximately 3,800 meters above sea level. This plateau is often called the "Land of a Thousand Lakes" due to its numerous glacier-fed bodies of water and offers stunning, quasi-Arctic vistas of the surrounding glaciers and peaks. This segment of the journey is a unique off-road adventure.
After soaking in the high-altitude views and commencing our descent from the plateau, we stop to appreciate the powerful Barskoon Waterfalls, including the "Manas Bowl." This is a refreshing break amidst the quiet nature. Lunch will be enjoyed en route within the gorge or at a local cafe.
Return to Bishkek
Following our visit to the waterfalls, we begin the return transfer to Bishkek, driving back along the South Shore and through the Boom Gorge. Arrival in the capital is scheduled for the late evening, concluding this extraordinary, deep-dive into Kyrgyzstan's natural masterpieces.
Inclusions for Day 2: Breakfast, Lunch, Private Transportation, Professional Guide.
