A Double Dose of Adventure: Ala-Archa and Chunkurchak

Join us on a unique one-day expedition, the "Two Gorges and the Heavenly Bridge," which combines the legendary Ala-Archa National Park and the picturesque Chunkurchak Gorge, offering the most intense and diverse mountain experience just an hour's drive from Bishkek! This is the ideal route for those who want to see the maximum number of iconic natural sites in Kyrgyzstan without spending time on multi-day trips.

Our adventure begins with a city pickup and a quick transfer (about an hour) to the Ala-Archa National Nature Park. Here, in the place whose name translates to "Motley Juniper" and which is the cradle of Kyrgyz mountaineering, we will take an impressive, yet short, walk through the lower part of the gorge. You will breathe in the therapeutic scent of the coniferous forests, see the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Kyrgyz Range, and become familiar with the area of the legendary Alplager, which has inspired climbers from around the world to ascend peaks like Korona and Free Korea since the 1950s.

After immersing ourselves in the history of the mountains, we head to the neighboring Chunkurchak Gorge—a true natural oasis famous for its wide meadows and gentle terrain. Here, we will ascend to the breathtaking Heavenly Bridge, which offers stunning panoramic views of the neighboring mountains and deep valleys, allowing you to see the entire region's beauty from above.

Next, our journey takes us to the Chunkurchak Ski Base, where we will ride the chair lift up to the observation deck, which provides incredible panoramic views of the surroundings. For thrill-seekers, a high-speed Zipline descent will be available here (this activity is optional).

The final point of our busy day will be a visit to the Supara Ethno-complex—an open-air museum recreating the authentic nomadic way of life. At Supara, you can stroll through the picturesque adjacent forest, enjoy the tranquility, and, if desired, arrange a horseback ride through the surrounding hills (optional). In this cozy complex, we will enjoy a well-deserved rest and dinner before returning to Bishkek, carrying with us a whole kaleidoscope of unforgettable mountain memories and proof of how much beauty can be seen in Kyrgyzstan in just one day.
