Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek

Welcome to Kyrgyzstan! Upon arrival at Manas International Airport, our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After some rest, we will take a relaxed walking tour of Bishkek’s city center, exploring Ala-Too Square and Oak Park. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner introducing you to traditional Central Asian cuisine.

Day 2: Bishkek — Chon-Kemin Valley

Chon Kemin valleyWe pick up our 4x4 expedition vehicles and head toward the stunning Chon-Kemin National Park. This lush valley is famous for its dense pine forests and rushing rivers. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a hike or an optional horse riding experience.

Day 3: Chon-Kemin — Kok-Moinok Canyons — Kalmak-Ashuu Pass — Son-Kul Lake

Day 4: Son-Kul Lake — 33 Parrots Pass — Naryn — Kok-Kiya Valley

Say goodbye to Son-Kul as we descend via the thrilling 33 Parrots Pass. We stop for a hearty lunch in Naryn town before pushing further south into the rugged, wild frontier towards the border zone. We enter the dramatic Kok-Kiya Valley.

Day 5: Kel-Suu Lake Expedition — Return to Naryn

Morning horse riding trek to the hidden emerald gem: Kel-Suu Lake, tucked between towering jagged cliffs. You have an option to take a motorboat ride to explore the lake's hidden caves. After an early lunch back at the camp, we drive back to Naryn for a comfortable night.

Day 6: Naryn — Ak-Say Canyons ("Forgotten Rivers") — Eagle Hunting — Bokonbaevo (Sunset Kayaking)

An incredible overland day. We drive through the surreal, Martian landscapes of the Ak-Say canyons, stop for a panoramic viewpoint, and even take a refreshing dip in the lake. Along the way to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, we stop for a breathtaking Eagle Hunting Show (Berkutchi). Arriving in Bokonbaevo, we finish the day with a magical sunset kayaking session on Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 7: Bokonbaevo — Skazka Canyon — Arabel Plateau — Barskoon Waterfalls — Jety-Oguz — Karakol (Dungan Dinner)

A packed day of natural wonders. We explore the labyrinth of Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon, ascend to the high-altitude tundra of the Arabel Plateau (3,800m), visit the roaring waterfalls of Barskoon, and photograph the iconic "Seven Bulls" rocks in Jety-Oguz. We arrive in Karakol for a very special homemade dinner with a local Dungan family.

Day 8: Karakol — Altyn-Arashan Gorge — Karakol

Altyn Arashan Gorge

Today we trade our jeeps for a rugged mountain transfer up into the alpine paradise of Altyn-Arashan. Spend a relaxing day surrounded by dense spruce forests, take a light hike with stunning views of Palatka Peak, and soak your muscles in natural hot sulfur springs. We return to Karakol for the night.

Day 9: Karakol — Trout Farm — Semenov & Grigoriev Gorges — Cholpon-Ata

We drive along the scenic northern shore of Issyk-Kul. Our lunch stop is a local trout farm, where you will enjoy freshly caught and prepared fish. In the afternoon, we drive through the majestic Semenov and Grigoriev Gorges, taking in the alpine meadows, before settling down near Cholpon-Ata.

Day 10: Cholpon-Ata — Open-Air Petroglyphs Museum — Bishkek (Osh Bazaar Shopping)

After visiting the ancient open-air petroglyph site in Cholpon-Ata, we make our way back to the capital. Upon arrival in Bishkek, we head straight to the vibrant and colorful Osh Bazaar—the perfect place to immerse yourself in local commerce, buy souvenirs, dried fruits, felt goods, and spices.

  • Countryside (Chon-Kemin, Bokonbaevo): Cozy, traditional eco-guest houses. Private Twin/Double rooms. Bathrooms may be private or shared between two rooms depending on the location. Features home-cooked meals and local hospitality.

  • High-Altitude Alpine (Son-Kul Lake Yurt Camp): Authentic felt yurts on the lake shore. Strictly 2 people per yurt (Twin/Double sharing). Heated by traditional wood stoves; warm blankets and clean linens are provided. Shared western-style toilet and washing facilities are located on-site. Note: No Wi-Fi or cellular service.

  • Remote Wilderness (Kok-Kiya Valley near Kel-Suu): Our most remote outpost. Basic but warm mountain eco-lodges or insulated yurts, optimized strictly for 2 people per room/yurt. Electricity is powered by a generator for a few hours in the evening to charge devices. Basic shared amenities on-site.

Trip Preparation & Packing List

This tour travels through extreme terrain, ranging from hot semi-deserts to freezing high-altitude mountain passes over 3,500 meters. You must be prepared for four seasons in one day.

  • Base Layer: Thermal underwear (top and bottom) for chilly nights in yurt camps.

  • Middle Layer: Fleece jackets, sweaters, and comfortable trekking pants.
